Victimae Paschali Laudes is the Easter sequence — one of the few medieval sequences kept after Trent. Death and life contend; Mary reports the empty tomb; Christ is risen, victor King. Latin and traditional English are public domain. Sing it through the Octave. (The older Credendum est verse against the Jews was removed from the Missal in 1570 and is not included here.)
